REVIEW : Moritz --- About Time Too (2017)

For the AOR/Melodic Rock mafia, the name of MORITZ is a no stranger at all. This Brit melodic act that was founded in London back in 1986 became immediately synonymous with quality melodic rock music.

REVIEW : EAGLEHEART --- Reverse (2017)

To be honest here, I was looking forward to listening to this new album from Eagleheart. You see, I liked a lot their second opus, "Dreamtherapy", back in 2011. That was a damn fine sample of pure melodic power metal stuff that included a bunch of some killer tunes, strong performances and an overall tight musicianship.

Marc Vanderberg releases Single 'Highway Demon' from upcoming album

Marc Vanderberg releases Single 'Highway Demon' from upcoming album

The single 'Highway Demon' is the titlesong and opener of Vanderberg's second album, which will be released on September 7, 2017. "The song 'Highway Demon' is an energetic uptempo number, that brings the adrenaline to the boil in the blood of every listener. In particular, the second verse does not leave you an air to breathe. The perfect song for the highway", says Vanderberg about the Arena-Rock song. "The fact that` Highway Demon' has a classic rock vibe is probably due to the fact, that the song was sleeping for about 25 years in the drawer of a friend of mine. Then we decided to breathe new life into the song by reworking the melodies, writing new lyrics and helping the song to live a new life", says Vanderberg.

`Highway Demon' is now available in all popular online stores and on all music platforms.

The song will is published via darkSIGN Records. Thorsten Eligehausen, CEO of darkSIGN Records, is responsible for the mix and mastering.

REVIEW : H.E.A.T. --- Into The Great Unknown (2017)

So the time has come for this great band to release its brand new opus entitled "Into The Great Unknown". H.E.A.T. released four great, and already classics, records so far plus an amazing live one. With Kenny Leckremo, the first two albums were both pure melodic rock stuff with class and quality. Due to some personal reasons, Kenny left and Erik Gronwall took the place behind the mic.

REVIEW : Doll Skin --- Manic Pixie Dream Girl (2017)

Now this is a really interesting release! But let's take things from the start. Doll Skin is a female modern heavy rock/punk that made a big impact in this scene with their debut "IN YOUR FACE (AGAIN)", which was produced by Grammy Winning Megadeth bassist David Ellefson.

MORITZ 'About Time Too' Out in July/August

UK AOR/Classic Rock band, MORITZ, have announced the release of their long-awaited follow-up 'About Time Too' to the successful 'SOS' album. The album consists of 13 new songs, including two instrumental intros, due for release on 31 July 2017 via Shadows of a Dream and 25 August, 2017 via Cargo Records. A video teaser can be viewed here:
The album was recorded over the last four years at a number of studios. It was produced by MORITZ and mixed and mastered by MORITZ bass/keyboard player Ian Edwards.
It is now 30 years since the band’s first release, the now highly collectable 12” vinyl Shadows of a Dream EP. To celebrate this MORITZ have resurrected the Shadows of a Dream label for the new album.

It’s an incredible accomplishment when a rock band has been successful enough to reach the 25-year mark since the release of their first album.

And this year, raunchy southern rockers Jackyl have accomplished this feat, and are celebrating with an appropriately-titled compilation, ’25,’ which drops July 28 via Mighty Loud Records.

The 18-track set (which can be preordered via the band’s official site, features such Jackyl radio hits as “Down on Me,” “The Lumberjack,” “Push Comes to Shove,” and “Favorite Sin,” as well as two previously unreleased tracks - a live rendition of “Redneck Punk,” as well as a cover of Black Oak Arkansas’ “Hot and Nasty.”

The Poodles - Love Is Gone, new single!

The Poodles are back with the brand new single "Love is Gone"! The song is written by David Guetta and it is the first release from the coming album "Prisma", which is due to be released in January 2018.
The Poodles have always refused to conform to expectation and this time is no exeption. "We took on the challenge to do our version of a song from a different genre, one that is very different from our own", says lead singer Jakob Samuel.
The choice to do a heavy metal version of "Love is Gone" stems from the simple fact that everyone liked the song. "It has a strong hook and a driving riff, which are ingredients that make for a good song regardless of genre", Henrik adds.
