REVIEW : KEE OF HEARTS --- Kee of Hearts (2017, Frontiers Music s.r.l. )

Now this is a record that I was looking forward to listening to! Kee Of Hearts is the collaboration between two extremely talented musicians such as Tommy Heart (Fair Warning) and Kee Marcello (Europe). These two gathered a bunch of some also talented musicians like Ken Sandin (ex-Alien) on bass and Italian drummer Marco Di Salvia (Pino Scotto) and nowadays they deliver their excellent debut album KEE OF HEARTS via Frontiers Records.

The mighty Alessandro Del Vecchio (Revolution Saints, Hardline, JORN) handles the production of this little gem and the result will please every single fan of Fair Warning, Europe, Kee Marcello (solo work) but also every melodic hard rock freak out there.

The opening tune of "The Storm" is just awesome melodic hard rock bliss at its highest order. "Crimson Dawn" is yet another highlight out of this debut; straight forward melodic rock stuff with an excellent chorus line (that reminds Fair Warning earlier works) and some killer guitar lines by Marcello that leaves you breathless!! "Bridge To Heaven" and the edgier "Stranded" are two more great tracks that will fill with happiness the melodic hard rock mafia out there. Especially "Stranded" is pure candy in my ears, love it! The commercial "Mama Don't Cry" is very good while in "S.O.S." the boys brings on another monster tune!!

The modern "Edge Of Paradise" includes a catchy hook and chorus line and the fast-paced "Learn To Love Again" is without any doubt one of the album's highlights!!!

KEE OF HEARTS is a band that knows who to deliver catchy, melodic and solid hard rock music, no doubt 'bout that! A debut record that will be welcomed by any serious rock fan, in general, out there!

Rating : 8,5/10
